Remember Bewitched? Ok let me rephrase that question. Do you remember the show with two Darrens? They switched the actor midway through the series and expected us to all just play along like nothing happened? Of course you remember that.
Member the movie they made with Will Ferrell and Nicole Kidman? It cost 85 million to make and only pulled in 65 million in the US? You really don't remember? That's probably a good thing.
So let's recap what we just learned. Old television show remembered for switching lead actors and not much else. Remade into movie that made 20 million less than what it cost despite the ridiculous box office draw that is Will Ferrell. Everyone caught up? Good.
Apparently all of that means only one thing for the people at CBS... Network Gold!
The people that brought you gems like NCIS, NCIS:LA, NCIS:Sugar Creek, and NCIS:We really aren't trying are currently developing a script for a remake of Bewitched.
I'd love to end this with a fantastic show stopping joke about the lack of effort CBS puts into its programming or how they continue to insult us to our faces and America keeps eating it up, but I've got nothing. Enjoy your weekend.
