So I guess the Emmys happened Saturday or something... I'm not really sure because apparently the Emmys aren't put on for people like me. They are there to validate the horrible choices America makes when they watch television and every now and then throw a bone to well written television shows. (Mad Men, Margo Martindale for her work as Mags Bennett on Justified)
From what I'm told Modern Family is both entertaining and well written but I don't care how well written a sitcom is, there is no effing reason Kaitlin Olson should not win Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy 9 times out of 10.
Let's see here... Jim Parsons Big Bang Theory, Melissa McCarthy Mike and Molly... I can't even formulate a sentence about this because of the anger welling up inside of me. So let's move on.
I'm sort of torn about Best Actor in a Drama going to Kyle Chandler from Friday Night Lights. It's a very good show and I'm sure lots of people enjoy it, but did anyone with any say in anything Emmy related see this past season of Justified? Apparently someone was watching Justified and however well deserved the award was for Margo Martindale and believe me...She absolutely deserved it. Mags Bennett was the bonechillingly evil matriarch of a family of pot sellers in the middle of Kentucky and Margo Martindale acted the bejesus out of that role. But let's call it what it is, it's one of those Emmys that good shows get just so we can be reminded of how dim witted America is when it comes to television.

Nothing for It's Always Sunny, nothing for Community, nothing for Parks & Rec, its like the people in charge of the Emmys aren't even reading my blog.
