Ok people, this is not a drill. I repeat, this is NOT a drill.

"Community" is in fact returning to television. NBC has reported that 12 new episodes will air this spring. They also finally admitted that maybe the show needs a new time slot.

So the day Blog Name TBA returns from its holiday hiatus is the same day that NBC announces that "Community" will once again return to the airwaves... Coincidence?

Also as if the return of Abed, Troy, and Annie wasn't enough, here's some other awesome news that should restore your faith in humanity one news item at a time:

- Megan Mullally has gone on record as saying that she will be participating in the "Party Down" movie, going as far as to say that John Enbom is writing it now and that the entire cast will be in it.

- There will be no Glee spin-off once the current set of characters graduates. I think I speak for all of humanity when I say 'F yes'

- NBC has also decided to move "Whitney" to its own little island on Wednesday nights along with its new soon to be cancelled sitcom "Are you there God? Its me Chelsea". Let's see how well it does without its "Office" lead in.

- "Parks and Recreation" is going to not only give a recurring role to Louis CK this season but Paul Rudd as well. As if that ensemble cast needed anymore help.


Seriously folks, I could not be more excited about the upcoming year which should be a clear indicator that the Mayans were right and the end of the world is upon us. As long as I get all 12 new episodes of "Community" the world can do whatever the hell it damn well pleases.

Awesome TV News

I realize this isn't news about "Louie" but I love the scenes with Gervais


As if "Parks & Recreation" needed any other awesomely funny people to star in it, Louis CK is set to reprise his role as Dave Sanderson who you might remember was Leslie Knope's love interest in season two as well as being the most laid back person in the history of people. If they don't write an entire 5 minute scene featuring Rob Lowe's super intense Chris Treiger and Louis CK's Dave Sanderson... I will riot.


And secondly FX has finally given us some premiere dates for "Justified" (Tuesday January 17th) and "Archer" (Thursday January 19th). I don't think I'm alone in squealing and giggling like a 14 year old girl at a Justin Bieber concert. 13 brand new episodes of two awesomely incredible FX Originals....

Not having Photoshop is really hampering the quality of my images


It's an unusually quiet day here at TBA's main headquarters and I've been sitting on some information for a while now so I figured it was a good time to share.

These stats were pulled from Variety and they represent viewership on the Thursday that the cast of "Community" won television with a six sided die and the song Roxanne. But do you see "Community" on this list? Of course not. "The Big Bang Theory" is up there for two different showings and apparently there are 9.7 million sad middle aged women who like to drink a box of Franzia with their 45 cats and rub one out to McDreamy on "Grey's Anatomy". But still no "Community".

Allow me to put this in a different light. Let's say you had 20 friends that all sat down to watch TV on Thursday night. At least 13.3 of them deserve to be shot.

The only bright spots in this chart are "The Office" which will probably always do well because of Steve Carell even if he is gone and "Parks and Recreation".

On a side note, how effing good is "Parks and Recreation"? It probably doesn't get the coverage it deserves here because it doesn't have enough Alison Brie, but its a smart show with a brilliant cast. Seriously, I challenge you to find an unfunny cast member. As opinionated as I am I honestly don't think I can pick a favorite character. I'm kidding of course, it's Ron Swanson, I'm not a communist.

ZOMG!!!111!!!11one! We just hit 15 posts!!

So today is a pretty big day here at TBA. I don't want to brag but in addition to being viewed not only from Germany but also the UK (international sensation spreading like wildfire) we have also just reached the 15 post mark! Sure, some of those posts are just Site News or clips of stuff I found online but to be honest I didn't think I would be able to come up with enough material for 5 posts let alone 15.

So guess what's in store for my 15th post! If you guessed original material that I wrote just for the occasion, this must be your first visit here. Enjoy a bunch of clips from Parks and Recreation!


Rob Lowe is easily one of the best characters on the show. He's totally tied for best with Ron Swanson, Leslie Knope, Tom Haverford, Andy Dwyer...you get the picture.




Years from now when our children's children's children have finally overthrown the super intelligent ostriches that have ruled the world as the dominant species for 20 years this video will play on an infinite loop at the celebration.
