Awesome TV News

I realize this isn't news about "Louie" but I love the scenes with Gervais

As if "Parks & Recreation" needed any other awesomely funny people to star in it, Louis CK is set to reprise his role as Dave Sanderson who you might remember was Leslie Knope's love interest in season two as well as being the most laid back person in the history of people. If they don't write an entire 5 minute scene featuring Rob Lowe's super intense Chris Treiger and Louis CK's Dave Sanderson... I will riot.

And secondly FX has finally given us some premiere dates for "Justified" (Tuesday January 17th) and "Archer" (Thursday January 19th). I don't think I'm alone in squealing and giggling like a 14 year old girl at a Justin Bieber concert. 13 brand new episodes of two awesomely incredible FX Originals....

My sentiments exactly Pam...Sploosh

Friday Laziness

Yep, it's that time of the week again. The magical time when the weekend is just within my grasp and I really start phoning in the posts. I realize most everything I write during the week is half-assed but Friday is when the real laziness begins.

I heart Aubrey Plaza

I don't care how many of you even know what this is. This one is just for me.

Enjoy your weekend!

This week in TV news

Thanks to the abnormal amount of porn pictures of beautiful sunsets on my computer I have been unable to keep you, my wonderful readers, informed on the exciting world of television. Let's remedy that, shall we?

Burt Reynolds to guest as himself on "Archer": Anyone that watches "Archer" probably knows all about Sterling Archer's incredibly potent mancrush on the mustachioed one so this will be nothing short of awesome.

"Beavis and Butt-Head" return to television: The MTV classic re-debuted to 3.3 million viewers. I was 13 when this show first aired on MTV and my parents didn't allow me to watch it so I really don't have much to say about it other than I really can't support a show that made Mike Judge rich enough to be able to produce 13 seasons of "King of the Hill". That show was an atrocity.

FX renews "American Horror Story": I've heard great reviews about this show from a few friends of mine and it is on FX... Maybe it deserves a look-see. Not from me though, I scare easily. You watch it.

FX buys 90 episodes of a new Charlie Sheen sitcom: Ok at first glance this seems like a cruel joke. The network that airs "Justified", "Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia", and others is purchasing 90 episodes of a sitcom that will feature Charlie freaking Sheen playing an anger management therapist that needs anger management. Ok, ok, ok I can explain.... FX knows that this horrible crap stain of a program will of course debut to 20 million viewers and make them tons of money. FX doesn't really think Charlie Sheen is talented, they just need the money he can bring in so that they can keep airing brilliant sitcoms that are praised by critics but panned by the viewing public. Yea, that's it. Now I can sleep.

How did I forget this??

So in all the Community and Sunny excitement apparently I completely forgot to talk about the Archer three part miniseries titled Heart of Archness. Fortunately it's just the kind of sloppy blogging mistake that you've all come to expect from me, so no harm no foul.

Let me preface this by saying I read a transcript the Archer cast did of a panel at Comic-Con so I knew this was coming and I still squealed like a little girl when Patrick Warburton spoke his first lines as Rip Riley. H. Jon Benjamin and Warburton probably have the two best voices of any animated television show ever. That's all I need to say about that.

I do sincerely hope that the writers continue the trend they started in Heart of Archness by featuring more Ray Gilette. He was barely in season one and used sparingly in season two but I really like his character.

I cannot say enough about the awesomeness that is Pam. Pam is probably my favorite character on the entire show and that's saying a hell of a lot. She has about 4-5 extraordinarily quotable lines per episode and 'Cootch Chili' is one of her best. I hope to one day be able to wedge it into a conversation without being asked to leave the premises. Word of advice, do not attempt to order Cootch Chili at your local Wendy's. It's not going to end well and I still never got my Frosty.

Archer is one of those shows that simply does not seem to lose steam. The two episode arc about Archer getting cancer was so f'ing brilliant that I really didn't expect a lot from Heart of Archness, but the show keeps getting better. I'm sure it will surprise no one that one of the things I enjoy the most about Archer is the obscure jokes they throw into every episode. They blend terms like 'Chekov's Gun' and 'Johnny Benchian hands' seamlessly with crude humor and dick jokes.

My only regret is that we have to wait until 2012 to get more Archer.

Enjoy your weekend folks!
